Summer Food Service Program
July 7-24, 2026 (weekdays only)
Children attending summer school will receive breakfast and lunch free of charge. Rockingham County families with children 18 years and younger not attending summer school may also receive a breakfast and lunch free of charge. Meals must be consumed onsite.
Meals will be provided, on a first come, first serve basis at the following times and locations:
Breakfast 7:55 - 8:15 am, Lunch 11:00 - 11:25 am

Additionally, certain schools qualify for “SUN Meals To Go” distribution consisting of two breakfast and two lunch meals for consumption at home. These meals are available to children attending summer school, as well as any child 18 years or younger from Rockingham County.
“SUN Meals to Go” will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis at the following times and locations:
July 10, July 17, and July 24, 2026 from 11:25 am - 12:00 pm

Meals will be provided to all children without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation), disability or age, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.

Additionally, program information may be made available in languages other than English.
To file a program discrimination complaint, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, AD-3027, found online at How to File a Program Discrimination Complaint and at any USDA office or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form.
