Summer Food Service Program

Rockingham County Public School Summer Food Service Program
July 8-25, 2025 (weekdays only)

Children attending summer school will receive breakfast and lunch free of charge. Rockingham County families with children 18 years and younger not attending summer school may also receive a breakfast and lunch free of charge. Meals must be consumed onsite.

Meals will be provided, on a first come, first serve basis at the following times and locations:

Cub Run Elementary School – Breakfast: 7:55 AM – 8:20 AM | Lunch: 11:15 AM – 11:40 AM

Elkton Middle School – Breakfast: 8:00 AM – 8:15 AM | Lunch: 11:00 AM – 11:20 AM

J. Frank Hillyard Middle School – Breakfast: 7:50 AM – 8:15 AM | Lunch: 11:00 AM – 11:25 AM

John C. Myers Elementary School – Breakfast: 7:55 AM – 8:20 AM | Lunch: 10:50 AM – 11:20 AM

Linville Edom Elementary School – Breakfast: 8:00 AM – 8:20 AM | Lunch: 10:50 AM – 11:20 AM

McGaheysville Elementary School – Breakfast: 8:00 AM – 8:20 AM | Lunch: 11:00 AM – 11:25 AM

Montevideo Middle School – Breakfast: 7:55 AM – 8:15 AM | Lunch: 11:25 AM – 11:45 AM

Mountain View Elementary School – Breakfast: 7:55 AM – 8:25 AM | Lunch: 11:00 AM – 11:30 AM

Ottobine Elementary School – Breakfast: 8:00 AM – 8:20 AM | Lunch: 11:00 AM – 11:25 AM

Peak View Elementary School – Breakfast: 8:00 AM – 8:30 AM | Lunch: 11:00 AM – 11:25 AM

Plains Elementary School – Breakfast: 7:55 AM – 8:15 AM | Lunch: 11:00 AM – 11:25 AM

Pleasant Valley Elementary School – Breakfast: 7:55 AM – 8:25 AM | Lunch: 11:00 AM – 11:25 AM

River Bend Elementary School – Breakfast: 7:55 AM – 8:15 AM | Lunch: 11:00 AM – 11:25 AM

South River Elementary School – Breakfast: 7:55 AM – 8:15 AM | Lunch: 11:00 AM – 11:25 AM

Wilbur Pence Middle School – Breakfast: 8:00 AM – 8:15 AM | Lunch: 11:00 AM – 11:20 AM

Additionally, certain schools qualify for “SUN Meals To Go” distribution consisting of two breakfast and two lunch meals. 

Take home SUN Meals to Go will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis to children attending summer school and any child 18 years or younger, at the following times and locations:

July 11, July 18, and July 25

Linville Edom Elementary School – Pickup Time: 11:20 AM – 11:40 AM

Montevideo Middle School – Pickup Time: 11:25 AM – 11:45 AM

Ottobine Elementary School – Pickup Time: 11:25 AM – 11:45 AM

Peak View Elementary School – Pickup Time: 11:30 AM – 11:50 AM

River Bend Elementary School – Pickup Time: 11:25 AM – 11:45 AM

South River Elementary School – Pickup Time: 11:25 AM – 11:45 AM

Meals will be provided to all children without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation), disability or age, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.

To file a program discrimination complaint, a Complainant should complete a Form AD-3027, USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form which can be obtained online at: https://www.usda.gov/sites/default/files/documents/USDA-OASCR%20P-Complaint-Form-0508-0002-508-11-28-17Fax2Mail.pdf, from any USDA office, by calling (866) 632-9992, or by writing a letter addressed to USDA. The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
