During the School Board meeting on October 23, Beau Dickenson, RCPS Social Studies Supervisor, and Lauren Shifflett, Associate Director of the JMU Center for Economic Education and Your Economic Success (YES) recognized several RCPS teachers who placed in the Economic Awards Competition at Jame Madison University. Please congratulate the following educators:

 -Priscilla May-Maiden (ITRT) - First Place in Elementary Grades K-2 Division

-Tristan Brady (John Wayland Elementary) - Second Place in Elementary Grades K-2 Division

-Lauren Markel (ITRT) - First Place in Elementary Grades 3-5 Division

-Kathryn Craun (ITRT) - Second Place in Elementary Grades 3-5 Division

-Kelly Kips (Linville Edom Elementary) - Third Place in Elementary Grades 3-5 Division

-Nora Fletcher (J. Frank Hillyard Middle School) - First Place in the Middle School Division

-Kimberly Dove (Wilbur S. Pence Middle School) - Second Place in the Middle School Division

-Ryne Powell (Spotswood High School) - First Place in the High School Division

-Bethany Everidge, Brandon Plogger, and Rebecca Ullrich (Massanutten Technical Center) - Second Place in the High School Division

-Brittany Coverstone (Pleasant Valley Elementary) - Grand Prize in the Overall Competition
