News Feature

Nearly seventy middle school and high school students from four Rockingham County Public Schools traveled to Hampton, Virginia earlier this month to compete at Technosphere, the annual Virginia state conference of the Technology Student Association (TSA). The students represented RCPS in more than two dozen STEM-related competitions , and came home with an impressive haul of hardware.

In total, RCPS students earned 35 top-ten finishes, including 11 trophies for top-three placements. Those top-three finishes qualify students to advance to the TSA National Conference, to be held June 22–26 at National Harbor, Maryland. Competitors from across Virginia made the competition fierce, making RCPS's performance all the more remarkable.

In addition to the competitions, students elected a new team of eight Virginia TSA state officers during the conference.
