Sociology is a one semester elective course that introduces students to major concepts in the field of sociology. Understanding the structure and components of society helps students gain a better realization of why groups of people behave the way they do. Research, discussion, and debates of current and controversial issues in society will be a major part of the course. These subjects will be discussed respectfully within the parameters of non-biased research. Sociology is an elective course for students in the grades 10-12.
