This honors level course is designed as an independent study that allows students to research a select chapter of local history. Students will have the opportunity to work at The Heritage Museum of the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Historical Society (HRHS) in order to conduct a portion of their research. Students will be expected to utilize primary as well as secondary sources in order to develop a six-page research paper that includes a thesis statement that addresses the historical significance of their topic.

This research will then be used to create a multimedia exhibit that will be featured in The Heritage Museum.
