World Geography provides students with an understanding of the people, places, and regions of the world. Particular emphasis is placed on cultural interactions within a world that is increasingly connected and interdependent. Students will explore how humans impact the world around them, as well as how environmental factors affect human behavior. Students will develop skills in interpreting and analyzing various spatial relationships. World Geography is a required course for all 9th graders. All students will take the end-of-course SOL test in an attempt to earn their verified credit in Social Studies.
