Information about the Probability and Statistics program at RCPS
Students enrolled in Probability and Statistics are assumed to have mastered the concepts identified in the Standards of Learning for Algebra II. The purpose of the course is to present basic concepts and techniques for collecting and analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and making predictions. Students will identify and describe patterns and departures from patterns when analyzing a variety of data sets and graphs. They will design their own experiments and surveys, and perform a variety of tests to analyze and describe their results.
