Fine Arts instruction supports the vision of RCPS in Educating Today's Learners, and Developing Tomorrow's Future. The arts are an essential part of every child's educational experience and they support, augment, and balance all curricular areas. We strive to provide students with a quality and diverse fine arts curriculum which empowers creativity and higher level thinking while simultaneously developing a lifelong appreciation for the arts. Participating in and studying the arts provides an outlet for self-expression and fosters self-esteem, compassion for others, and self-awareness. Students have the opportunity to work collaboratively and contribute to the cultural enrichment of their school and surrounding communities, as well as connecting to the greater global community.
