Information about the Biology II: Advanced Survey program at RCPS

Biology II: Advanced Survey Grades: 11-12, Prerequisite: Biology I

This course will cover several Biology I topics more in depth and focus on contemporary issues. Biotechnology will covered extensively. Other Topics may include DNA technology, disease transmission, genetics, evolution, forensic science, environmental science, food safety, genetically modified foods, and local flora and fauna. This course will incorporate technology and its uses. The Honors Level of Biology II: Advanced Survey will be teamed up with the Biotechnology courses. Students completing the sequence of courses and requirements have the opportunity to earn a Biotechnology credential.
