Current Events is an elective course designed to address current issues at a local, national, and global level. Students will investigate and think critically about current topics and discover the impact that these issues have on their everyday lives. Students will develop skills in debate, primary and secondary source analysis, and research. Students will also be challenged to collaborate with peers, experience simulations and debates, and have the opportunity to create projects and presentations. Current Events has year-long, full credit and semester-long, half-credit version. This elective course is open to students in grades 10-12.
